As the OWEN project manager my main task is to manage the team responsible for the delivery of the Project. I am keen to ensure that beneficiaries have a positive experience whilst they are involved with OWEN and that the team are tackling worklessness for older workers across the Humber sub region.

As partnership officer I introduce OWEN to other organisations who deliver services which can help OWEN beneficiaries move nearer to employment. I set up partnership agreements with training providers, recruitment agencies, employers, community and voluntary groups. OWEN works with these partners to move OWEN beneficiaries back into work.

In my role as soft skills co ordinator/trainer, I develop and deliver workshops for beneficiaries of the OWEN Project. During these sessions I provide support and guidance on job search techniques including CV preparation, completing application forms, writing cover and speculative letters and improving interview techniques. I also provide advice, information and support to beneficiaries relating to training opportunities. Prior to working for OWEN, I worked for a variety of training providers, delivering a broad range of training activities.

I am the project support officer for the OWEN Project. My main duties are to provide administrative support and work with beneficiaries. I left my job in the recruitment section of East Riding of Yorkshire Council to work on the OWEN Project in March 05.

I am the marketing officer for the OWEN Project. I am responsible for recruiting people to the OWEN project through effective marketing and communications programmes. I also put together the OWEN newsletter with our beneficiaries and keep our website up to date.

I am often the first voice that people hear when they contact the OWEN project! I like to make people feel welcome while providing them with all the information they need to join. I also carry out all kinds of administration tasks around the office and attend events to meet prospective members of the project.
