OWEN WINS QUALITY AWARD
Story

The Owen project has just been awarded the matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services.

Being awarded the matrix standard means that OWEN has been recognised as delivering excellent information, advice and guidance to its beneficiaries.

OWEN started work on gaining matrix accreditation in May 2009. Assessors praised the project’s approach to its customers and specially its new one to one 'information, advice and guidance’ sessions.

Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what our members said to the matrix assessors:

“Relaxed, informative sessions whilst also polite and professional”

“Really helpful advice - from writing a good CV to targeting employment requirements”

“Very positive meeting. Gave me some really useful contacts for volunteering opportunities.”

Jackie Langley, OWEN project manager, said: “Receiving this accreditation is a real accolade for the project. We have all worked really hard to get the award, and the fact that we have it is recognition of the excellent service that we provide. We anticipate that the standard will provide reassurance to our members that they are receiving highest quality of service and advice available. We also hope that now that we have matrix, we should be able to attract and secure new funding streams. A big thank you to all OWEN beneficiaries who gave us such excellent feedback.”

About the matrix standard
The matrix standard is the quality framework for the delivery of information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work. It is intended for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance to external clients as part of their business. The matrix Standard is based on achieving excellent end-results that anyone working or visiting the organisation will consistently hear, see and experience.
