COMMUNICATING THROUGH COMEDY
Story

Back by popular demand is our communicating through comedy workshop run with Hull Comedy Festival organisers - Eskimosoup.

In March we ran our first ever comedy themed workshop. Those who took part thoroughly enjoyed the day and felt that it would really benefit them in an interview situation.

Workshop objectives:
• Develop your interpersonal skills, public speaking and    communication in an interview setting
• Increase confidence with storytelling techniques

Key skills that you will develop:
• Engaging with an audience, adapting your style of communication to fit
• Keeping cool under pressure
• Using honest personal experiences to positively reflect who you are in an interview or working environment

Led by a facilitator with experience in public speaking and comedy, delegates will be taken through a series of exercises to help understand how they can use comedy and the art of storytelling to engage an audience and make a positive impact through their interpersonal skills.

Delegates will work independently and in teams.

The Workshop takes place on Wednesday 28 October, 9.30am - 4.00pm at The New Clarence, 77 - 79 Charles Street, Hull, HU2 8DE.

If you would like to take part in the workshop, please contact Garry Pullen on (01482) 887670 or email garry.pullen@eastriding.gov.uk. This workshop is part of Hull Comedy Festival that runs from 23 October to 7 November. For details visit www.hullcomedy.co.uk.
